Healthy Flapjack

 

This is a great recipe for making ahead of when you need it. Having this flapjack is a good healthy start to a busy day on the go. It is packed full of goodness and nutrition and will keep you going until lunch time or fill the 3pm hunger pangs!

 

Ingredients

 

200g margarine
400g porridge oats 50g pumpkins seeds 20g chia seeds

30g sunflower seeds 70g walnuts
5 tbsp honey
150g caster sugar 100g Prunes

1/2 lemon

 

Here’s how:

 

Preheat your oven to 160°C and line a baking tin with grease proof paper.
In a pan melt the butter. In a separate bowl weigh out all the other ingredients. Pour the butter over the other ingredients and mix until everything is well combined.
Place the mixture into a greaseproof lined tin and press down to make the surface even.
Bake the flapjack in the oven for 35-40 minutes, then turn the oven off and leave in the oven for a further 10 minutes.
Allow to cool and then cut into bite-sized squares.
